Spring has hardly sprung, but our horsemen are already braving the elements. Despite the lingering chill, many trainers have moved in with their horses, and the backstretch is steadily coming back to life.

In other news, our Racehorse Groom Training Program funded by the Government of Manitoba, is in full stride. Designed for individuals looking to build practical skills and become the trusted right-hand support behind these incredible animals, the program offers a rewarding pathway into the racing industry. We are pleased to receive a strong and enthusiastic response to the program. Interviews are currently underway, and the first class will begin March 23rd. Stay tuned for further updates as the season — and our newest group of aspiring professionals — gets underway.
HBPA of Manitoba Inc. is pleased to welcome back our track family for an Easter Dinner on April 4. This gives Horse people an opportunity to come together and see familiar faces, meet newcomers, and share a meal - outside of daily routines! We will be organizing an incredible meal, crib tables, and dominoes!
