Easter Dinner:
The HBPA put on an Easter Dinner on March 19th in the track kitchen. It was well attended , the food was great, turkey and trimming by the MJC, ham, pierogies, salads and desserts prepared by the ladies. Door prize won by Jerry Pruitt.
Groom school:
Groom School classes have ended for this season. 25 applicants went through the school and several are graduating and finding employment with trainers on the track. Congratulations to Shae-Lynn Burke, Kelin Graham and Bethany Chrusch for obtaining their groom licence. More to follow in the next few weeks.
Awards Dinner:
The 41st Annual Awards Dinner will take place, Saturday, May 10th at Assiniboia Downs. Cocktails at 6PM Dinner at 7PM. Time to pay tribute to the outstanding horses and individuals in the 2024 race season. Both the CTHS and HBPA horses are honored.Tickets are $50 and available from the CTHS or HBPA office. BBQ season:
Right around the corner, updates will be coming with BBQ dates and various cook off competitions. Stay Tuned!!!!
Washer/Dryer:
Plan is to have a washer/dryer placed in the old tack room adjacent to the men's washroom for the use of the individuals working in the backstretch. Roku TV and a microwave have been added to the lounge area for everyone to use.
